Metal Events is delighted to announce it will hold its 22nd International Rare Earths Conference in South Korea for the first time.
To reduce its heavy reliance on imports, particularly from China, the government has invested in supply diversification, recycling technologies, and overseas resource partnerships. Major industrial players are also working to secure stable supply chains, reflecting the country’s broader effort to strengthen economic security in advanced technology sectors.
To this end, Korea has increased state-backed financing for overseas projects by over 70% in 2026, and is actively pursuing partnerships with Australia, Vietnam, and Laos.
We are excited to hold our annual event in the vibrant city of Seoul and we will have a great programme with expert speakers and plenty of time for networking.
This event, which is considered as the premier one in the industry calendar, will take place in Seoul in October 2026 and we will, as always, have an excellent programme with expert speakers.
As part of this event there will be visit to ASM's Korean Metals Plant (KMP), located in the Ochang Foreign Investment Zone in Chungcheongbuk-do Province about 115 kms south of Seoul, on Tuesday 27 October in the morning.
