AGREEMENT BETWEEN USER AND METAL EVENTS LTD
The Metal Events Ltd Web Site is offered to you conditional on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions and notices contained herein. Your use of the Metal Events Ltd Web site constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions and notices.
MODIFICATION OF THESE TERMS
Metal Events Ltd reserves the right to change the terms, conditions and notices under which the Metal Events Ltd Web Site is offered.
USE OF SITE PERSONAL AND NON-COMMERCIAL USE LIMITATION
Unless otherwise specified, the Metal Events Ltd Site is for your personal and non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information obtained from the Metal Events Web Site.
You may download and print hardcopy portions of the material from the different areas of the Site solely for your own non-commercial use, or to register for an event with Metal Events Ltd. Any other use of materials on this Site, including but not limited to the modification, reproduction, distribution, republication, display or transmission of the content of this site, without prior written permission of Metal Events Ltd is strictly prohibited.
In the event a Metal Events Ltd event is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or error in pricing information, Metal Events Ltd shall have the right to refuse or cancel any registrations placed for events listed at the incorrect price. Metal Events Ltd shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such registrations whether or not the registration has been confirmed and your credit card charged (or funds cleared in the case of a cheque or T/T). If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your registration cancelled, Metal Events Ltd shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price or refund you by cheque or return T/T.
CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS
Depending on the conditions for individual events as stated at the bottom of all booking forms, a full refund (subject to a 25% handling charge will be made for all written cancellations received up until four calendar months (124 days) before the meeting. A 50% refund will be made for written cancellations received between two and four calendar months before the meeting is held. Cancellations made in the last two calendar months (62 days) will receive no refund. A substitute may be made at any time. Any delegate registering less than 14 days before the event will not appear on the main delegate list but will go on an addendum list. Please note that full joining information, including details of other participants attending the conference, will not be available more than 14 days prior to the commencement of the event.
EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL
It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organisers to alter content, timing and venue. In the unlikely event of the conference being cancelled or curtailed due to any reasons beyond the control of Metal Events Ltd, or it is necessary or advisable to relocate or change the date and/or location of the event, Metal Events Ltd, nor its employees will be held liable for refunds, damages and/or additional expenses which may be incurred by delegates. We therefore recommend delegates arrange appropriate insurance cover for themselves.
The personal information given on registration forms will be held on a database by Metal Events Ltd and only used by them. Your contact details may be used by Metal Events Ltd to contact you from time to time with offers on similar products and services and it will be used by us to provide you with services for events. Please contact us if you do not agree to this.
Metal Events Ltd reserves the right to change any of our rates due to fluctuations in the currency exchange rates. Our base rate is always Sterling.
All delegates are responsible for their own travel insurance for the event.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS & TRAVEL
Metal Events Ltd is not responsible for either making or cancelling hotel reservations on behalf of delegates. This is the responsibility of the delegates who are liable for their own hotel costs.
In an attempt to provide increased value to our visitors, this Site may contain links to other sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third party vendors and other third parties (the External Sites). However, even if the third party is affiliated with Metal Events Ltd, Metal Events Ltd has no control over these linked sites, all of whcih have separate privacy and data collection practices, and is not responsible for the privacy practises or the content of such web sites. These linked sites are only for your convenience and therefore you access them at your own risk.
Links do not imply that Metal Events Ltd sponsors, endorsed, is affiliated with or associated with, or has been legally authorised to use any trademark, service mark, design, logo symbol or other copyrighted materials displayed on or accessible through such External Sites. Nonetheless Metal Events Ltd seeks to protect the integrity if its Site and the links placed upon it and therefore requests any feed back on not only its own Site, but for sites it links to as well (including if a specific link does not work). Metal Events will use reasonable efforts to prevent the disclosure or use of your personal information. WE COLLECT INFORMATION IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
During registration you are required to give contact information (such as your name and/or email address). This information is used to provide the services that you have requested, or to contact you about the service on our site for which you have expressed interest. We may contact you from time to time with news as well as marketing and promotional information. We may also use the information to provide you with information we believe may be useful to you.
Like most web sites, we use “cookie” technology on our web site. iii. WEB BEACONS
Also known as clear GIFs or single-pixel GIFs, web beacons are small image files that Metal Events may place on Web pages and within Web-based email newsletters that we send. Working in conjunction with cookies, Web beacons allow Metal Events to accurately count the number of unique users who have visited a specific page on the Metal Events site and the number of times those pages are displayed. We can also use Web beacons to let us know how many people opened a Web-based email newsletter. This information is only collected in aggregate form and will not be linked to your personally identifiable information.
iv. LOG FILES
We use server log data to help administer the site, to better understand the parts of the site and what types of content are most interesting to the our site users, and to measure volumes of traffic. Each time a Metal Events page is requested from your browser, we log your computer’s IP address into our log files. Your computer has been pre-assigned a 12-digit number. This number is the IP address. We use your IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track your movements on the site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
