Special early-bird of £500/USD650 plus VAT per person for all bookings made before December 14 2016.

We are delighted to announce that Metal Events is holding its 9th International Zinc Conference in London in 2017.

The zinc market is dominated by supply-side issues with the focus on the fall in mined production across the world. Global zinc mine production declined by 6.1% in the first six months of 2016, according to the International Lead-Zinc Study Group, which said the declines were mainly due to substantial reductions in India, Australia, Ireland and Peru. In the same period refined zinc metal production also fell 3.9%. Meanwhile LME zinc prices have risen above $2,000 per tonne and the potential is for further tightness in the market.

In bringing the conference to London in 2017 we will be able to explore zinc’s current fundamentals and look at how the market may develop over the coming 12 months.  Will the current supply tightness be exacerbated? When will new mine supply come on stream? When will demand levels return to enable investment upstream again?

Confirmed presentations from:

Wood MacKenzie
CRU Group
London Metal Exchange
CHR Limited
