Register today for the 8th International Zinc Conference

*The current fee is £650 for all registrations.

We are delighted to announce that Metal Events will be returning to Dubai in April 2016 for the 8th International Zinc conference which will take place at the Fairmont Hotel.

Our early-bird fees, which has remained the same since 2014, offers exceptional value for money and includes all conference sessions, copies of the presentations, cocktail reception, tea/coffee breaks and luncheon.

The programme will discuss the following questions and more:

What now for zinc? Glencore announced in early October that they are cutting 500,000 tonnes of annualised zinc which amounts to around four percent of global supply and will constrain the supply of concentrate.

What about mine closures? In addition the recent closure of Century (although it is still processing stockpiled ore) and Vedanta’s Lisheen mine in Ireland, which is due to reach the end of its life in November this year, will remove around 675,000 tonnes of annualised mine capacity.

What about mine supply? The ILZSG expected mine supply outside of China to fall by 1.8 percent next year which would mean the refined zinc market will be in supply deficit to around 152,000 tonnes but this was before Glencore’s announcement.

Where will new production come from? Will current prices attract new investment?

Will China’s zinc consumption growth rate slow on falling demand from downstream sectors?

What are the growth areas for consumption?

New developments and opportunities for hot-dip galvanising in the UAE
