ABOUT US

Metal Events Ltd was co-founded in 2002 by Jill Fitzgibbon and Rachel Carnac, who left their successful careers to launch this innovative company to provide the metals and mining industry with high quality events and conferences. The company is wholly independent and owned and managed by us. We pride ourselves in our extremely high level of customer care – maintaining these very high standards from the time you register until after the event you are attending has finished. As we only organise events and are not diverted by other business activities, we deliver products to the highest standards.

Successful Events
Now in our eighteenth year, we have successfully held events in Australia, Brazil, South Africa, The Netherlands, Germany, Iceland, Spain, Oman, Estonia, Slovakia, Dubai, UK, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, USA, Canada and Thailand. These conferences have focused on areas such as: minerals,  tin, lead, zinc, the steel futures contract, the aluminium industry, energy, rare earths, ferro-alloys, minor metals, critical metals, recycling and REACH. Our events attract a large number of senior executives representing the world’s major metals industry companies, while also numbering among our customers many global blue chip suppliers to the metals industry as well as end-users. Metal Events Ltd attracts a large amount of sponsorship and number of exhibitors at its events, reflecting the excellent marketing and advertising opportunities that our conferences generate.

Managed Events
In addition to holding our own conferences, Metal Events has successfully developed a wide-ranging portfolio of managed events. As we are independent and only focused on organising specialised events for the international metals industry, we can deliver tailor-made strategies to make sure you have the best possible conference which exactly meets your criteria. Metal Events Ltd is extremely flexible and always ensures that a director is involved in the planning and running of all of its events. We can work with clients from conference concept development to delivery of the actual event. We organise the International Minor Metals Conference with the Minor Metals Trade Association. The company also works with the International Zinc Association (IZA).

Jill was formerly an Associate Director with London Metal Exchange ring dealer Amalgamated Metal Trading and Rachel was Editor (non-ferrous) of Metal Bulletin.
